The above image is an actual likeness of Meme, taken from a satellite picture.
Or is it a fragment of AnElephant’s warped imagination?
So let’s start with a joke.
Why do ducks have webbed feet?
To stamp out forest fires.
Why do Elephants have flat feet?
To stamp out burning ducks.
An utterly amazing and totally inspirational lady called Meme, who claims to be Mixed Up but is actually just about the most lucid and insightful person imaginable, gave this Elephant the most wonderful and generous gift recently.
She took one of his rambling semi-poetic blogs entitled ‘I was so much older then I’m younger than that now’, a Tribute to Bob Dylan, and put it to music, singing the words to the tune of another Dylan song, Blowing in the Wind.
(At least that is what it sounds like to AnElephant’s large but untutored ear!)
AnElephantCant explain to sweet Meme
How much he appreciates her
He would like to say
That she makes his day
If only AnElephant could purr
It is clear that he will never meet her
They are 5000 miles apart
But take this as read
Although she is wed
She has a special place in AnElephant’s heart
Now AnElephant can be crabbit** and grumpy
AnElephant can even be rude
But where she is concerned
His grumps are adjourned
Because Meme is intrinsically good
She brings out the best in AnElephant
She compliments all the words he has penned
She makes him feel like a star
He worships her from afar
He is happy that she is his friend
Ta rah tah tah!!!!
