My Granny Keeps Pigeons

This reblog is dedicated to the children of
http://mysocalleddutchlife.wordpress.com/
who clearly has great kids and who writes a brilliant blog.

All we ask is that all of you who, like AnElephant, have never progressed beyond the age of seven, enjoy it and share it with any young folk of any age that you know.

We often read this poem to groups of children in the 4-6 age group.

We give each child a paper napkin to put on their head and tell them to blow it off (no hands!) each time we say ‘my granny keeps pigeons’ which we stretch out to pppppppiiiiiiiiiiigeons!

Chaos and rudeness – as good as it gets!

My wee granny is a pleasant wee granny
And my pleasant wee granny keeps pigeons
The pigeons paddle in the puddles
And they piddle in the puddles
The pigeons paddle and they piddle in the puddles

My wee granny is a pretty wee granny
And my pretty wee granny keeps pigeons
The pigeons paddle in the puddles
And they pooh in the puddles
The pigeons paddle and they pooh in the puddles

My wee granny is a perfect wee granny
And my perfect wee granny keeps pigeons
The pigeons paddle in the puddles
And they piddle in the puddles
And then they pooh in the puddles as well
The pigeons paddle and they piddle and they pooh in the puddles
My wee granny doesn’t like the smell

I am glad my wee granny doesn’t keep ELEPHANTS!!
