Tangerine Trees and Marmalade Skies

AnElephantCant contain his excitement
He is blogging about the Fab Four
With Paul and Ringo
George and Johnny we go
Off on a magical Mystery Tour

Ringo sat at the back with his drum kit
Paul wrote popular stuff that was clever
Let it Be Yesterday
Penny Lane Eleanor Rigsby
But not Strawberry Fields Forever

She Loves You made everyone happy
We told them I Want To Hold Your Hand
They sang Love Me Do
And From Me To You
They were Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

Please Please Me they Twisted and Shouted
Nowhere Man wondered If I Needed Someone
In a Wood in Norway
You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away
With each song you think Here Comes the Sun

Hey Jude was a comfort to Julian
A Little Help from Joe Cocker great stuff
Lady Madonna and Girl
Lovely Rita Michelle
They knew that All You Need is Love

Now two of them sadly have left us
Hard to Imagine Jojo is no more
And with tears we recall
The sweetest Beatle of all
Perhaps George plays now for his own Sweet Lord

Happy Birthday, John
Hare Krishna, Georgie

About AnElephantCant

An artist/writer/poet combination whose blogs reflect an approach to life that celebrates nature and takes a tongue-in-cheek view of most issues. So you get rhymes and doodles, photographs and comment. Irreverent and irrelevant. Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless. https://anelephantcant.me/
