AnElephantCant always be hilarious
Sometimes he is rather confusing
But this week he should
Try to lighten the mood
And go for something slightly more amusing

 Sunday Afternoon

I don’t see why we couldn’t put the roof up.

Let it go.

Well, it’s cold. And draughty with the top down like this.

Please, just leave it for now.

It will take another hour at least to get there, and I’m frozen! Can’t we just stop and get organised?

I do not want to stop! Not until we are at the beach. Our own little special secluded spot, remember? Where no one will see us!

Yes I know, but just the same ….

Oh for heaven’s sake, don’t be so soft!

I am not soft! Sorry for not being all macho like Clint Eastwood or whoever it is all those movies you watch!

Just shut up!

That’s not very nice!

Listen to me, this is your last warning! Do you want me to put you in the boot* beside your wife?

————–

*For readers in the USA, boot is the British word for trunk.

About AnElephantCant

An artist/writer/poet combination whose blogs reflect an approach to life that celebrates nature and takes a tongue-in-cheek view of most issues. So you get rhymes and doodles, photographs and comment. Irreverent and irrelevant. Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless. https://anelephantcant.me/

Ah, so you’re the one who has the wife in the boot. My Eugene only thought about putting his Edna there!

And with added mischief a foot or ‘too boot’ which is an American idiom meaning, to include.

Gotta think about that one a minute. Hard to view the trunk of a car as a boot! The couple does seem to be having quite the argument, too bad too, sounds like a beautiful day, especially on a Sunday! 🙂
