Darkness and Light

Light and Shadow by Phil Burns

Light and Shadow by Phil Burns

Mediterranean sunshine
unique beauty
creating
a small separate world
of light
and shadow
a butterfly
aimlessly waltzing
on a striped awning
a pigeon
nodding through
early morning
curtains
black-headed gull
seen from the bay
gliding
across a cliff face
a boat
in shining silver sea
a lizard
flash of grey
scurrying
under a dark rock
colourless hills
encircle
entrap
sparkling steel water
all shades
of black and white
a world
seen only
in chiaroscuro

About AnElephantCant

An artist/writer/poet combination whose blogs reflect an approach to life that celebrates nature and takes a tongue-in-cheek view of most issues. So you get rhymes and doodles, photographs and comment. Irreverent and irrelevant. Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless. https://anelephantcant.me/
