Water – Sunday Photo Fiction

AnElephantCant always be very creative
He can’t write a weekly murder mystery
But he can find no one bonnier
Than his lovely friend Anja
To snuff out so the rest is just history

This is a weekly invitation to write a short piece of fiction (c. 150 words) based on a photo prompt (below) provided by Alastair.
Just click on the link to sip from a cup of liquid delights which pour from the prosaic pens of pernicious people.
But please first read AnElephant’s little splash of silliness.

Water

You really are the most amazing individual I have ever met!
Thank you, dear Anja, I think you are only saying that because it is true.
Of course! I am a teacher, I don’t tell lies!
I see, I am sure that is a comfort to the parents.
But they do worry about my many deaths at your fictional hands, in case I really do die!
I can understand that. Words are a powerful weapon.
Are you going to eliminate me again this week? What new and foul end do you have planned?
I don’t want to spoil the surprise.
In the past few weeks I have drowned, jumped from a high bridge, been chopped up by evil Al ….
Nothing so mundane this week.
Oh, is that a harpoon gun?
You don’t miss much, do you?
Before you fire, please tell me this.
Of course, anything for a lady.
How do you make the water come up out of the glass like that?
I have a trunk.
Ouch!

Was she a mermaid this week that anElephant needed a harpoon gun? Poor Anja, but watch out Elephant, I think she will get you in the end with her Ninja magnificence.

Nobody let this guy watch Hannibal, or Anja’s in for some much grislier endings.

Okay….I understand this tale. AnElephant is speaking to his imaginary Anja and the first line is a hint to that.
    A harpoon??? REALLY?

  8. Great ending. Apparently an ElephantCan suck up water. You got to take of dear Anja. We’re all witnesses if anything happens to her. 🙂
