AnElephant is Blowin’ in the Wind

Blowin' in the Wind by Phil Burns

Blowin’ in the Wind by Phil Burns

AnElephantCant say he always misses Bonnie Scotland
There are some aspects of his homeland he is happier without
Like the hail and the sleet
And the snow-frozen feet
And that brisk wind that blows his trembling trunk inside out

In his little corner of paradise he is aware of Le Mistral
Which is strong but it is also quite warm
It is dry as a bone
And when it is done
There is always sunshine to follow the storm

AnElephant faces lots of strange weather last winter
When he experiences his great adventure North American
The Pacific coast brings
A multitude of thought-provoking things
But happily for him there’s no sign of a hurricane

He is unenthusiastic about excessively extreme weather
He is somewhat scared of a cyclone or tornado
That sort of gale
Turns AnElephant pale
He does not ever want to go wherever they go

In springtime AnElephant needs antihistamine
Please don’t cut your grass is his sincere request
Because pollen on the breeze
Makes AnElephant sneeze
Through his trunk it has more force than a tempest

But there is one thing that is very much worserer
Even a curly twirly whirlwind cannot strike such fear into the boldest heart
AnElephant must
Avoid the teensiest gust
He is too polite and well brought up to mention even the possibility of  a wee windy fart

Oh how AnElephantCant makes me smile
Reading his poetry and thinking of wind …
A flyin’ up high like Dorothy Gale,
Would be an adventure I’m sure he would hale …
But the nasty old pollen that has us both sneezin’,
Is really a bother it’s junt not at all pleasin’ …
Though of all the wind that you’ve spoken of plainly,
The funniest and surest the worsest I just cannot name…
But I’m sure it is potenter than any hurricane!
    😀 Thanks for the fun!!!!

    Since nothing could be worserer
    Than a tiny windy fart
    Would AnElephant be so kind
    As to teach, nay remind
Our friend Eros the furry monster
that if he must, do it downwind
    or Emmy may just depart!

    A breeze brings a sneeze
A gale turns the tail pale
    Hiding again from a hurricane
Having to go somewhere with no snow
When it rained happiness was feigned
Joyness failed when it rained and hailed
But most of the fun was out in the sun.

I love the rant from AnElephantCant
