Big juicy fruity ones just fill him with awe
He doesn’t care about colour
Green blue red or duller
He is quite happy if they are goose lingon or straw

I love blackberries.
And Kirk and the girls just love the blackberry jam I make.
But they are so small this year.
Too dry, I think, we have not had enough rain this summer.
So when I am picking some today, rather poor specimens, I suddenly get quite excited.
I see this towering oak tree in a field, with blackberry bushes all around it.
And they look laden with fruit.
I forget I am a lady, clamber over the fence…
