loving you

loving you by anelephantcant

Click here to hear the poet read his words:

loving you

my heart leapt
that first time
and my soul
asked the question
where have you been
my whole life
while I
have been searching
for you
and
everything
was too
wonderful
too
wonderful
for this
poor poet
to describe
with his
sad
lack of talent
yet
even
as I lingered
lost
drowned
in my feelings
for you
I asked myself
why
why is this
so difficult
until
at last
you
of course
you
only
you
you look deep
into my blue eyes
my blue
blue
eyes
and tell me
the awful truth
how can I
not have known
how can I
not have seen
what
is so obvious
to everyone
but me
you love me
but
I
have
stopped
loving
you

Love the poems shape justvlike the figure of the statue. Interesting as it is she who does not have his love as he doesn’t love her anymore, not the other way around. Hugs

How sad. But it can be unnoticed if one is too immersed in his own emotions, oblivious to the world. Beautifully written sounds better in your voice.
