Prince Charming

in the morning by anelephantcant

Click here to hear the poet read his words:

Prince Charming

the ladies call me Prince Charming
though that’s not who I am
I’m searching for my one true love
but it won’t be you madame

at first when I encounter you
I am courtesy itself
and you are too keen to believe
you are so long on that shelf

a winning smile a few sweet words
gently melt your eager heart
I swiftly sweep you off your feet
my seduction is an art

but whose to say that I’m to blame
or if this is what you want
as my lips brush soft across your neck
there is time to say please don’t

in the morning when I’m leaving
I turn and smile at you
I promise that I’ll be back soon
(laugh) when the moon turns blue

I’m searching for my one true love
though it won’t be you madame
the ladies call me Prince Charming
but that’s not who I am

  1. A little different for you. I like it!
Not sad, but just a tad on the funny side with a hint of melancholy.

    Le prince charmant ?
    Existe-t-il seulement?
