your world

my world by anelephantcant

Click here to hear the poet read his words:

your world

in your world
there is no winter
autumn slips softly into spring
summer seems to last a lifetime
the days are long and full of joy

in your world
there is no night-time
the sunset filters into dawn
sunshine smiles on every moment
the days are long and full of joy

in my world
is only darkness
snow-laden clouds as black as sin
cold winds blow an icy hatred
the nights are long and filled with pain

in my world
there is no daylight
the morning frost bites sharp as blades
embittered hailstones fall with vengeance
and you are nowhere to be seen

I once lived in your world
but you have never been to mine

About AnElephantCant

An artist/writer/poet combination whose blogs reflect an approach to life that celebrates nature and takes a tongue-in-cheek view of most issues. So you get rhymes and doodles, photographs and comment. Irreverent and irrelevant. Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless. https://anelephantcant.me/
